A well-dressed wedding party elevates the entire occasion. At Akkari Menswear, we create custom-made groomsmen suits where every member of the wedding party is individually measured, individually fitted and individually tailored — ensuring the entire group presents with the same standard of excellence as the groom himself.

All appointments are private and by booking only. Each groomsman receives dedicated one-on-one time with our master tailor, ensuring their garment fits and flatters their individual body rather than being pulled and pinned to approximate a size.

Groomsmen suits are crafted from the same premium mill fabrics as the groom's garment — selected to coordinate seamlessly across the wedding party:

• Loro Piana, Ariston, Dormeuil, Drago, Delfino, VBC, Reda, Zegna, Holland & Sherry — the same world-class mills available for every garment in the party
• Lightweight Super 120s and 130s wools for warmer season weddings
• Rich Merino and wool-blend fabrics for formal or cooler weather occasions

We establish the fabric, colour and style with the groom first — then execute that look consistently across every groomsman's garment.

Canvassed Construction on Every Garment

Every suit we produce — whether for the groom or his groomsmen — is built with half-canvas or full-canvas construction. Never fused, never rushed. Canvassed construction ensures each jacket drapes naturally, holds its shape over time and improves with every wear.

Our Measuring Process for Wedding Parties

We apply the same exacting measurement process to every groomsman as we do for individual clients:

• Shoulder type and width — soft shoulder through to structured, matched to each individual's physique
• Armhole height — set high and clean for maximum freedom of movement
• Posture assessment — erect and natural posture accounted for to ensure a perfect fall across all body types
• Collar height and neck posture
• Sleeve pitch, length and button positioning
• Chest, waist, seat and thigh measurements

The result is a wedding party that looks cohesive and coordinated, while every individual feels their garment was made for them alone — because it was.

How the Process Works

We begin with an initial consultation with the groom to lock in the overall aesthetic. Groomsmen then visit our Auburn studio individually at a time that suits them. For larger wedding parties we schedule consecutive appointments to minimise disruption and maximise efficiency.

Construction of each bespoke garment typically takes 3–5 weeks depending on fabric and complexity. For weddings we recommend beginning the groomsmen suiting process at least 2 to 2.5 months before the function date to allow time for construction, individual fittings and any final adjustments.
